my brother and I just got into a little car accident..it wasnt that bad.... my brothers car has a little dent...and the other guy car has just a few scratches. My brothr just received his license so this was very scray for him. The other guy didnt call the cops, but took down my brothers license plate number, and his cell phone number and said he'll call him or anything. Could he still sue my brother even though it'll be many hours after? and report it?

Kizzy	Anyone can sue, it's their right and they can do an over the counter police report. Whether they get anything out of it other than the repairs to their vehicle is reviewed by an adjuster for your insurance carrier.

tabitha_tad	your brother can now deny any accident happening now...Just because he has the plate number and the phone number does not tell the insurance office anything without the police report...My mom had the same situation and his office tried getting money from my mom and she told them there was nothing that happened and they couldn't do a darn thing without that report.
