I'm going to CHILDRENS court in 2 days or so
I live in Melbourne, Australia
I got caught shoplifting with my friend 6 months ago in April
I was 13, but now I'm 14
I got a booklet from the police; stating what i had theft
In total we both got $1,000 {a thousand} worth of items in 3-4 shops in total
This is my first offense ever
as i am scared and dont know what to do :S
could someone please help me ?
& if you know what's gonna happen to me?
please answer
yeah i know i did wrong, i havent ever theft ever since that day because it still haunts me.
when i said a thousand, i meant both of us together.

Try to be honest and admit everything that happened in a civilized way. Tell your self that I did a mistake and I am going to take the punishment the judge decides. the judge's decision wont be that bad cause you're a juvenile and it is your first time as you said. But you should try to be a stronger person inside you and know that a humans life can't be without mistakes. Learn from your mistakes and always be responsible for them. Think of the things that led you to do this and try to find a better way of solving your problems. This will build a stronger personality in you. It seems that you do feel sorry and this is a good sign. You are still able to lead a successful life. Good luck. |

IF THIS IS REALLY YOUR FIRST OFFENSE EVER THEN YOU HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT. JUST PLEAD GUILTY AND SAY THAT YOU REALLY FEEL BAD FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE AND THAT YOU ARE SO SCARED THAT YOU PROMISE YOU WILL NEVER DO SUCH A THING AGAIN. TRY TO CRY IN FRONT OF THE JUDGE. TELL HIM YOU WILL DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO CLEAN THIS FROM YOUR RECORD. YOU MADE A MISTAKE, PERIOD!!
THE MOST YOU WILL GET IS A THREE YEAR PROBATION AND MAIBE 1 MONTH OF HOUSE ARREST, AT HOME, THATS IT. |

First offense, no jail, they may assign a probation officer and community service/fine. It won't be on record when you become legal adult age. Dress nicely when going to court, be respectful of course. Say you're sorry and that you are willing to amend/change your actions and that you have learned from this experience. Just be glad you were caught now, it could have changed the course of your life in just a few minutes, Huh?Get new friends. What's going to happen to them, are they scared?.good luck and think positive and don't protest the court's decision and most importantly, don't lie or blame the other friends. You're all accountable. |

you will problably get probation no jail but if you do it again on probation they will place you in juvinile detention i dont know about restitution though you or your parents will problably have to pay it back somehow. just watch yourself everyone makes mistakes use this as a lesson learned

Plead the first offenders. That just means that that is your first offense on getting in trouble. That will get you off a lot of trouble. Probably just probation. Good luck and I will keep you in my prayers. |
