I take it you've been watching CSI or something? Most of the stuff they do is made up or over exaggerated (its TV after all)Things are done the practical way, dogs, informants, undercovers, arestees, and such. Those usually get a warrant not some invented "sniffing machine". |

There is no such device that I know of. It also depends if you mean a marijuana GROW or just alot of smokers. because marijuana GROWS have alot of other signs to. |

If they did, any evidence they obtained would most likely be thrown out based on 4th Amendment search and seizure violations. |

You can forget that, but if you have people over to buy or sell dope it could be an uncover agent that has befriended you. So the rule is to not make money on growing the stuff. Don't share it with an expanding set of friends. And don't talk to anyone about it.
Also another major precaution is to not smoke the weed everyday. You will in time change you brain if you do and you will start changing your habits without knowing it.
The way around that is to dry out for a few days every week!
