look under your county circuit court. like example...Clark county circuit court. It should show you a link and take you to your county page. There, find where it says circuit court records. This may not work with all counties, but it don't hurt to try. |

Most Sheriff's Offices have a service that lets you send a candidate for employment, and you have them fill out a form and then the Sheriff's Office will run them for warrants/ pending charges Indictments/ Convictions, they'll put the information on the return form, put their seal or stamp, and then have the candidate return to you with the info. NOW....you can't do this if your intent is to run the guy your daughter is seeing to see what kind of background he has, in that case, you can just hit up your DPS and request a Driver's Record/ Criminal Record Check, for a state fee, of course. |

If your county has its public information on line like mine does, you may be able to access it. Do a search using the name of (your county) public records search. Good luck. |

I don't think there is away of doing it for "free" if you want an accurate one.... Thou you can get SOME info if you go to your countys courthouse and access the court records...they generally have computers that you can look people up on to get a case number and have the court clerks pull a file.... These should tell you what the charges were(as well as any civil cases, restraining orders/ stalking orders/law suites/divorces etc) But if the criminal cases were dropped the computers won't show anything....
if you want a real criminal history you should go to the police department its not that expensive I don't think.... Also I would recommend having it done by State police cause they can pull the persons whole state criminal history...thou believe they send a letter to that person saying a criminal history check is being done so you may want to check on that... |
