How many people are aware of a fact that JCPenny willfully permits a man to bring a 6 year old girl into?

Kris L	This is true of not just JCPenney, but of most places that have public bathrooms. I was a single mother with young sons, and I taught them to go to the bathroom well enough that they could go into the men's room by themselves ... but I was standing right outside the door, with my eyes on the door, and they boys knew to yell if anyone attempted to touch them or spoke to them using the wrong words. The fact is that there are few places a pedophile can't reach their potential victims ... which is why a man can walk into the men's room with a young girl. Many places now have 'family' bathrooms for people with opposite gender children, others use the 'general public' as security ... which is both a good and bad thing, since any member of the general public could be a pedophile, a stalker, or worse. You need to relax a bit ... unless you see someone (male or female) taking a child who is reluctant into the restroom ... you may stop a much needed spanking (I would never swat a kid's rear in public, it's too humiliating, and usually just a trip to the bathroom was enough and no swat was actually done), but just because you see a man with an opposite gender child doesn't mean he's a pedophile ... there are same gender pedophiles, there are opposite gender pedophiles, and there are 'both genders' pedophiles. Pedophilia is a mental health disorder with criminal consequences ... but we each need to learn what happens and when so that these people don't have the chances to offend. As for that little girl ... if it was her dad, and he was the only parent, he was being a good father taking her to the men's room ... if she needed help or felt ill. Otherwise, a six year old should be able to go to the bathroom by his/her self.

kpk02	Sounds like a weird rule, but I don't think it has quite the danger you are concerned with. Is a pedophile really going to care whether they are allowed to walk in there or not? Unless someone is there blocking access, there's nothing to stop them. And if someone is there, they obviously aren't going to be able to commit the act. The rule isn't going to change anything for such a situation.
