If I was to go into the local police station and there was an active investigation against me and I ask about this, would they tell me? Why or why not?

The police are not obligated to release any information about an active investigation to you.
In most cases, it is best not to advise the person until their investigation is nearing completion.The more information you have before you interview someone, the better. |
