Police in Utah are mistaken that custodial interference are civil matters it is under crimininal code 76.?

Why do they cowardly hide under the guise of claiming it is under the purvue of the civil courts when it is clearly stated that it is a criminal offense and punishable as a class A misdemeanor. If cops simply did their jobs a lot of crimes, serious crimes could be avoided. Between 1999 and 2003 over 2000 crimes varying from class A misdemeanors and felonies were committed by our friendly cops. Cops have arrogant us against the world attitudes that cause situations to escalate not the other way around. They break the law surmising they are above the very law they are sworn to enforce. I know dozens of these people due to a close relative being one, I've been to their raucous parties as a family guest and seen the nonsense that goes on. 90% of them in my experience have acted either feloniously or committed misdemeanors in front of my eyes. Why? And please no rationalization.

What in the world are you asking?

Your ranting makes it difficult to figure out what you want to know.

FRAGINAL, JTM
Policemen feel they are above the law because they have guns and influence. Thus, they abuse their authority and are committing crimes against the people instead of helping them maintain peace and order.

In most states custodial interference is a civil matter.

Have you gone to the police station with your papers and the copy of the statute?

That is what I would do.
