all the courts do asbo's, the police or the local council can put the charge in, it is all to do with the court, all the best

ASBOS have to be applied for by one of the relevent agencies in the first place. The lead agency is usually the Police but they can be applied for by Councils, Registered Social Landlords and BTP. They cannot be applied for by an individual. Courts that can issue them include Crown and County Court but in the main they are issued by Magistrates who sit as a civil court. An ASBO is a Civil Order but breach of an ASBO is a criminal offence. Anyone breaching an ASBO and the prohibitions therein is liable to be arrested . The minimum term for an ASBO is two years there is no maximum term! An interim ASBO can be applied for where there is a need to protect the public immediately from the person who is the subject of an ASBO. CRASBOs can be applied for by the Police through the CPS on conviction of an individual. If the person is not convicted then ASBO proceedings could be considered

The magistrates courts impose the ASBO - they are usually applied for by local authorities and start off with an interim order before becoming the fullblown ones.
