Would you rather have a gun or a telephone?

Darwin	A telephone. A gun is of no use when I want to talk to friends or family. A gun is of no use when my house is on fire and I want to call the fire department. A gun is of no use when I want to call a restaurant for reservations. A gun is of no use when I need to call an ambulance. Your senario is far less likey than any of mine.

I won't be able to reach either in time. So much for Silly Scenarios. By the way, does it somehow make a difference if it's late at night as opposed to, say, mid-morning or early afternoon? What if I have two kids? Or no kids? Or maybe just my crippled grandmother?

chilebreath	I'll take the gun and work around the deatils of whether or not I can get to it in time or if I ever need reservations at a restaurant, etc. Darwin, I'll keep checking for your name in the obits in case you live anywhere close to where I live. Peace and freedom is a nice thought ... until someone is kicking your front door down in the middle of the night.

MAC	I would have to say a gun! But to those of us who actually have to use the gun,, unfortunately we now have to make sure we kill them so that we are not held liable for their injuries, say we only shoot them in the leg, because they can sue us! Isnt the law a bunch of crap sometimes? So those of you that chose the phone make sure that while you are waiting on assistance to arrive that you use that phone as a weapon...lol
