You can use a BB gun or an air rifle on your own land or someones land with their permission...As long as there is no danger to a neighbour... i.e. No shooting across the fences.. You must act responsible..
You can carry these in a public place, as long as the rifle is in a bag, but you must never expose it.. Even just to show someone...You might have to explain to the police if you are stopped, as to why you are carrying it, and where you are going with it. And for what purpose.
As for your preferred rifle.......Call into the local police station and ask.. There is no harm in that. Then you will know exactly how you stand, just in case another person reports you for having a so called............Dangerous weapon. ! |

Depends where you stay in the UK, air guns are banned in Scotland.
Don't know Englands laws but you might find its the same. |
