i stole some stuff from a store at the mall alot of times, but i only got caught once and now i have a court date, will they go back into the cameras and try to see if i stole more than once?

It depends how recently you stole before you got caught. Stores don't keep massive film vaults. Some even just re-use the same tape.
And quit stealing, dill-wad, thieves like you jack the prices up for decent people. And times are tough enough. |

don't get your hand caught in the cookie jar so-to-speak.they will only go back as far as when you were caught and you will have to pay restitution as well as court fees and hopefully you will get a learning experience out of this. |

No likely. they are trying to get you on this crime. That is unless you have admitted to more crimes.

i doubt they will check all of the camera's in the past as it takes a long time and they have to pay staff to check

I'm pretty sure they have to catch with posession of the stolen property in order to prosecute, so you're probably only going to get charged for the one. |
