when Lady Godiva did her famous ride through Canterbury, all the townsfolk closed their windows out of respect, except for a guy named Tom. or so the story goes. this is where we get the term "peeping tom".
but how do we know it was him? in order for someone to see him, they'd have to be peeping too! I think the poor boy was set up!!

how do we know this? all of the above points of view are very believable and may very well be in cahoots with this same tom that you speak of, but the real story is that after that infamous ride of this naked woman godiva, he was so sure he could make a killing off of others wanting to do the exact same peeping thing that he pulled off that very day, that he layed low and perfected his peeping skills and later on formed and started what is known as myspace..com, shocking but true..... as the saying goes fact is stranger than truth, who knew? but each and everyone of us has fallen into this toms peeping ways, so the myth continues..... i give you the real peeping tom, myspace..com, just a side note if you play myspace backwards over and over, it very well sounds like someone is saying peeping tom peeping tom peeping tom......coincidence -- i think not.....

I heard it was because Lady Godiva had been hitting the Godiva chocolates pretty hard, and they closed their windows to spare themselves the sight!
As for Tom - well, he's into that sort of thing. |

Yes, there was a second peeper, looking at Godiva in the back, and to the left.
For a moment there, I thought this was going to be about Tom DeLay. He was most certainly not framed: He is guilty as sin. And of a hell of a lot more than what he went down for. |

Yes!! By the real Peeper, Tom is the scapegoat.Lady Godiva herself couldn't pick him out of the lineup, and she was the only one who could have possibly identified him. The usual suspects were rounded up, and Tom was chosen to take the fall.It could have been the guy on the grassy knoll |
