I have a felony..I was 18 years old and im currently in college. The judge said if i successfully completed my probation and finish a college problem that she would consider turning my violent felony into a probation before judgement...CAN SHE DO THIS? and if she strikes the conviction could anyone see it? I live in maryland

What the judge is doing is "deferring" judgement on the case.. so it's not actually a "conviction". If it works like it does in CA, once you successfully complete your period of probation supervision, the matter will be taken off your record AS IF IT NEVER HAPPENED... which means the Court would order it removed from your criminal record. It's a great opportunity... don't mess it up!!

Expungement is the best way to go not concealment those are two different status. If she that lenient go for the expungemnet soon as you can.

The charge will still show up unless it is expunged.
