What can a father do?

unwed, mother takes son out of state running from the police, she is a horrible mother, the father wants him bakc here and back in school, but he doesnt have custody. Is there anythign he can do?

Documentation.......sign waivers.....take videos........show proof of the mother's negligence. Every Judiciary provides free legal assistance.......let a lawyer call the shots-he knows what admissible evidence/proof is!!!!!!

Even though they are not married, the biological father still has rights. Unfortunately, the only way to invoke those rights is to go through the court system. If they don't have an attorney, they need to get one - go through legal aid if necessary, but have an attorney! File for custody and then go through the court process. Make sure that the attorney, the courts, and the local Department of Family and Children or Department of Human Resources all know about her fugitive status. Good Luck!!

call your attorney ,, if you don't have one get one.. go back and file for custody of the child.. tell them of her running from the police.. if you believe that your child could be in any danger ,, you need to report that to the court so that they can decide who is the better person for the child to be with,, of course it would be the dad..

go back to CYS and ask the court to appeal the custody decision based on new case info.
