You need to finish grade 12 now. Trust me, it's way better to finish high school now, while you are young, than have to go back when you are 25 and still don't have a good job. I have seen 20-somethings in high school classrooms, because they realized they needed to go back and they deeply regretted dropping out. You may LEGALLY drop out of school, but you WILL lose all your driving privileges. Ontario law says that you will have to retake all your driving classes and stuff when you are 18, IF you drop out. Why would you do this to yourself?

No matter what the law says, dropping out of high school is an incredibly ill-conceived idea and a certain recipe for instant disaster. Without even high school, you will never get a job that pays more than minimum wage, which is not really all that livable. Do you want to have no chance to become all that you can be? Do you think it's fair to yourself to trash your entire future like this? Please don't drop out of high school. You're seventeen; high school is done at 18. You're close; don't cheat yourself like this.

Don't drop out because it's harder to get back in once you leave. Is it a crisis with parents? Do you have a choice or not in regards to working?

In Both Canada and America the legal age to "drop" out of school is 16. Also, in Canada teens can legally live independently at 16. BUT please finish high school. You don't want to be living on minimum wage for the rest of your life.
