Last night I parked my motorbike in an out-of-the-way spot at a service centre in Adelaide with the intention being for them to service it the next day. The service department suggested I park it in this particular spot and place the keys under the door which I did. Of course, the bike was stolen overnight. As it was not a very expensive bike, I did not purchase theft insurance, only 3rd party damage.
Should the service centre have insurance that covers this type of thing as it was on their property? If so, is it reasonable for me to ask them to make a claim providing I pay the excess?

Lol, they probably stole it, and no you don't unless you park it inside locked area of theirs. Don't be so gullible next time. |
