Employment Contracts?

Employment Contracts?

In a contract for employment a employer stipulates that no new staff are allowed to take holidays for the first year. Or between certain months.

Also thats if you are sick for 1 day you need a sick note or your pay will be docked?

Doesnt sound very legal to me.....

If these stipulation are put into a work contract and you sign that contract then you are bound by it.

Companies are not required to give holiday pay and they can request that you provide a doctors note for any illness.

as an example the company I work for I only work on weekends 16 hour shifts. I sign a contract every 6 months one thing on my contract states that I am allow one unpaid day of sick leave every six months. anything over that requires a doctors note.
