Honesty Or Lies job applications?

If Iam honest when applying for a job I will never get that job. I have tryed. How do these people land jobs. I see them in stores and in my daily endevors. I wonder how they got the job they are doing. From what I've seen most of them dont know what they are doing or seem very uneducated. It seem to me its who you know not what you know.

There an art to interviews is a way to get to know people, some of the question they will ask you doesn't have a right or wrong answer but they are wanting to know how you handle yourself with a difficult question. You will need to brag a about yourself because you will have to convince someone that your the right person for the job, but be careful can to be boast to much. All your really trying to do is show your a competent person and is very capable of doing the job. I prepare for a interview by listen to audio books from audible.com and below is some good books to help you prepare for this. Good luck.

Hey Steve I noticed we answered a question to the same person. I hear that a drunk driving still appears from 1980. Wow!! If I'm not mistaken you should only state crimes that have happened in the past 7 years. Do you have other charges? Was it a felony or misdemeanor drunk driving? If that's the only thing on your record then you should definately look at getting it removed. Trust me I've been having a hard time as well looking for work and it's not easy with a record following you around. I hear you on that about some people having jobs their definatly not qualified for, I see it everyday. Honesty is the best way to go. It's bad enough people judge us by our past. There's no need for them to judge our integrity. If you have been clean and sober for 28 years and with no exsisting offences than I see no reason the courts can't grant you an expungment or seal your records. If possible by your state you should also look into a Governor's pardon if you haven't done so. I mean if felons can get a break then people with minor offences should get a break too. It's would be a screwed up system if people had to go out and commit a felony just to get a pardon or get your records removed. You should definatly look into it.

Nothing can take the place of experience, not even the most cleverly written instruction manual with easy to follow directions. Knowing about something and having experienced it are two different entities.

When filling out applications:

You don't have to pull any crazy stunts, but you should make sure that you stand out from the crowd of other applicants. If you have a particular skill or part job experience that really applies to a particular job, make a special note of it in your cover letter. If you have a website that's particularly visually appealing, a witty way of presenting yourself in email or a business card that usually captures attention, make use of this to get the eye of the person you are trying to have hire you. People hire those that they remember after the first introduction is complete. Figure out what "your thing" is and use it.

Good Luck
