Im seeking some work experience with a barrister and I thought that going through the directory and just emailing most of them for a chance to work with them. However a few dont have listed email, would it still be reasonable to call them or would that be considered rude asking someone I dont know over the phone?

A 'phone call is probably not appropriate. You will have to get passed the receptionist who will ask what you want. Also a randomly timed call stands little chance of success. Much better to write, attachng your CV and you will get an answer, either negative or maybe an appointment for an interview. |
