I'm looking for a specific type of lawyer, and I've heard the name, but I don't actually know if this is it or not, so if anyone knows what a human rights lawyer does, that would be quite helpful. Thank you!

Unless you are a victim of genocide or a similar act you probably don't need a human rights attorney. These are usually attorneys who work on cases involving human rights codified in various international treaties, etc. Something like being imprisoned for your political beliefs could require a human rights attorney, but in many countries this would be handled by a civil rights attorney. Many other things that could also fall under human rights (child labor, for example) are usually handled by different types of attorneys when it comes to specific cases rather than general law and policy. |

Look up 'human rights' online to understand what this is. If you have a problem with your employer, look for an employment lawyer, if it's a problem with your business, consult a commercial lawyer etc. If you have a problem with the police, logdge a complaint using their complaints procedure. I suspect you can probably avoid using lawyers altogether if you use your brains. |
