my friend got a job handing out flyers. The employer has been paying them cash at 7 per hour at the end of the day. Now he has worked all weak and he said they would get a check for payment this week, even though he has not filled out his w 4. how can he pay without knowing how much to take out. Isnt paying this way some sort of tax evasion? What should my friend do?

michr	your friend is an independent contractor your friend is responsible for reporting this income in most states jobs such as the distribution of "handbills" are not covered by labor laws....... if your friend makes $600.00 or more for the year this "employer" will have to send your friend a 1099 if your friend makes less then $600.00 for the year the employer may or may not send the 1099..... either way your friend is responsible for claiming this income.......
