i worked many years with many men and had close friendships. We never crossed the line and there was nothing untowards about it. On the other hand I have seen too many adulterous relationships transpire between singles and marrieds and marrieds and marrieds...for any number of reasons. All of them caused dissension in the workplace. You and your wife need to get out and form friendships with and without the kids. It definitly sounds like you both need adult conversation. Misery demands company.... |

Sorry, your wife is right. If this woman is fulfilling a need for you, it is dangerous territory. Stay away and pay more attention to your wife. You may not be cheating physically but you are mentally. You are she are connecting where you should be connecting with your wife. |

which is more important your wife or your friend its not a good feeling to think your husband may cheat on you so if you love your wife your marriage has to be number one forsake all others |

If you leave your bad habits, you will not get confused. What do you mean "girl friend"? why not a boy friend?
Your wife is right. Mend and behave yourself. |

I think your with is insecure about your relationship. What you need to do is not tell her how much you like speaking to your lady friend but let her know how much you love her and reaffirm how she is the no. 1 women in your life. That is what this gets down to. |

You have clearly no points and your wife is right.
Better you change for the good of you and your family.
But, a strong mind is required from your side. |

Wives talking to a male co-worker, and Husbands talking to female co-worker is not "CHEATING". But be careful, she/he can make it cheating if you pushed too far. Either can send a family-friend to look after. You never know who's eaves-dropping during conversations or conference over the phones. Keep ears & eyes open at all times, and look around you all the times.... |

Just from my past experiment that happen to me also but I was the one sitting back and watching my husband do this to me. He finally moved out and they start living together, but he kept telling me that they where just friends and nothing else was going on either. We are still married but don't live together anymore, because I really can't trust him anymore. In my opinion if you love your wife like I think you do. You already now the answer. |

It may not matter to you, but is does matter to your wife. Take her insecurity into consideration here. There is nothing wrong with what you are doing, but again in her mind there is. Instead of trying to determine who's right and who's wrong here, look at it as making a compromise for the sake of you marriage. Marriage is compromise not a contest of who's right and wrong. Find male friends - it's not that hard to do. |

My husband and I have read your question and he says, introduce your wife to your female friend and include your wife in your bowling outing, get your wife involved if not then there will be a problem.
I say, you have an obligation to you wife. If she feels uncomfortable with the situation then talk about it and if she still feels the same then end it. However, I say that married men can be friends with single female as long as it doesn't interfer with their marriage.
P.S. The devil is very busy and cunning so please beware.
God Bless You and your family. |

it sounds like your wife feels very insecure and maybe needs some TLC from u. make time to make her feel like the suns shines only on her. |

You do have valid points, however a lot of women are very jealous people whether they want to admit it or not. I can absolutely see myself acting the same way your wife is if this were my husband. Sorry! |

.I don't see why you cant have a friend male or female . Most of my friends are female and i do not sleep or wont to sleep with them . To me there just another person . Funny woman wont the equal rite thing but they don't seem to get the meaning they still separate man from woman . How in the world can they be equal if they are being so different . I guess its just something you 2 have to work out if she doesn't trust you maybe she cant be trusted after all she is the one with the evil thoughts. |

u are correct...unfortunately, in an effort to keep peace in the family (she can make your live h e l l) you will probably have to have it her way or be looking for divorce eventually. |

Easy, set up a double date involving her date and your wife. All four or more go do something together. IF she refusses, then just let her know that you want her to go and besides if she went maybe she wouldnt feel the way she feels about her. Do more stuff together. and if that dont work then just sit her down and have a grown up conversation. Tell her that you love her but she is just a friend and you would love it if she trusted you, because you married her not someone else. Take care and hope it helps |

You both have a point. It is very sketchy for a married man to be "friends" with a single woman. So many opportunities to stray. |

Of course they can! Just because you have a wife doesn't mean you can't have other female friends. As long as they only stay friends. Good luck =] |
