Gosh. That is very unusual but its not fair to the person who is still alive. Logically, it would make no sense. |

This is the most bazaar question I have ever come across. If one is dead, what is the point in the living one marring the dead. Can the living one enjoy any of the perks of being married? If your answer to that question is no, than no they can not marry. Let the living live and the dead remain dead. |

If a person wanted to marry someone who has already died then there would not be a marriage. Stranger things have happened and that is the strangest thing that I have ever heard of. |

if you could marry dead people, all the golddiggers in the world would marry newly departed billionaires lol
dumb question sorry |

No. A dead person cannot testify to the desire to wed via license, etc.
To bad it didn't happen. It's OVER. Can't let it go? Then seek the services of a shrink...take the whole family. |

NO! The dead person cannot verbally answer the question required by law to make the marriage binding. |

um no. u can't marry a dead guy. it just doesn't work that way. it's totally unethical and there's probably some law against it lol. |

I'm thinking "No" as the corpse cannot agree to the matrimony by saying "I Do". |
|

cherie
 |
The question is well weird! |
|

mustard

no because the other person is not able to object or agree. |

it ceases to be an option! it's like saying... "I want you to eat Cheerios!!!" but then, someone eats them all and there aren't any left. YOU CANNOT eat the cheerios because they are all gone... no more.
for God's sake please tell me this was a joke of a question. When people are married and their spouse dies, they're called Widows...
ehhhhhhhhhhhh |

The JZA

why would everyone still want them to get married? the only reason i could possibly see would be because the surviving fiance would want to inherit something from the dead fiancee, but i doubt the courts would allow that. |
|

sirmrmagic

It would not be legal, who would answer for the dead person....... |
|

PBJEATER
 |
Sounds like someone wants what the dead person owns.... |

Okay, you must be a complete freak or moron, not sure which.
Why would you still want to marry someone who has passed away????
Whether you loved them or not that is the stupidest thing I have ever heard.
You need a psychologist not a minister. |
|

luvlisteningtomusic
 |
Well what would the person benifit from it? They can no longer have children. They can no longer help with the bills. They can no longer be with the person physically. So my point is why would someone want to. |
|

elsie
|
No. You lack consent on the part of the dead party. |
