in my opion no you get divorced for a reason not freedom when the marrage cant be saved then you divorce for other reasons ? |

When you get married you enter the marriage knowing full well that you will give up certain freedoms as will your spouse. Sure go ahead and liberate yourself from the tyranny of marriage and become part of the huge divorce statistic and show the world your vows and your word is worth less than used toilet paper :) |

If you do not feel "free" within a marriage, then yes. Marriage should not be about feeling tied, controlled or dominated. Once you are with someone and feel completely independent, then it is the right person for you. |

I guess it would depend on the reason...if you love someone else or whatever but...If there's even a little bit of love left there, I would suggest staying because...what's sad is being around all those couples with nobody to miss. Unless you just bloody hate your partner. Just a lil bit of suggestion |

Yeah, for right now. To be honest though, next time you think about getting married, think hard about it. Marriage is a big step in a relationship and involves a lot of trust among certain individuals - why be with someone when you know you're going to be miserable with them in the future? |

Independence, not having someone else trying to control you, not having to answer for what you did or didn't do, not having to answer for what you bought, wanting to go where you want, with who you want, when you want...if these sound anything like the way you feel, then yes liberate yourself. Why would you remain in a relationship that takes away your freedom? I wouldn't and didn't, as much pain as there might be to get there, it's well worth it. |

if it is what u have to do to get the freedom then yes is the answer but v have got to c y also. basically the reason for divorce should be if u cnt even get any freedom then get a divorce. |
