harlow6b	Here's your answer. I was with my son's father for four years, we split up and fought like cats and dogs. Thing was, neither of us was willing to not communicate. Fighting was still a way to stay in touch almost daily. Eventually he decided to move out of the state which would end all communication. I realized then that I couldn't imagine my life without him in it in SOME way. Even if just as the partner in the raising of our child. He moved back in a week later. The answer to your question is this.....if you can't imagine your life without him in it, (picture him crippled, broke, disfigured or depressed) he's the one. If you'd rather be "just friends" than not have him in your life at all, he's the one. Good luck to you......

Anyone who tells you: "You will just know, you will feel it; you'll get goosebumps, or you will have your hair stand on end every time you think about them" has true love completely confused with infatuation and lust. You may indeed get goosebumps, you may have your hair stand on end. You may even get the cold sweats and forget who you are whenever you are around them but that doesn't mean crap. Why? Because it ALL goes away as the years go by. The only thing you are left with is whatever kind of commitment you brought with you into the relationship and whatever experiences you have shared as a couple that will cement your love. So it all boils down to the fact that anyone can be "the one" and you make the decision of who that is. You will only "know" after many years have passed.
