If you caught your spouse cheating what is the first thing that you would do?

different drumm	File for divorce. No ifs ands or buts. Even if he apologized or agreed to marriage counseling, I know I would never be able to trust him again.

anoldmick	I'd ask her if she was enjoying herself and whether she preferred him over me. Her responses would determine what happened next.

jude	my spouse did cheat on me, and for months i cried, got depressed, thought it was the end of the world, than i got mad, i filed for divorce,and moved on to a better life with a man who treats me with respect. the first thing i did was tell him i know what you did to me and i am suffering now and crying but later on what you do to me will come back to you.

Lisa	does anyone really know how they will react? i met a guy several years ago and fell madly in love -- later down the road i have found out he is married -- i always said i would not have a relationship with a married man. but my heart now says different -- so do we really know -- NO we don't his wife keeps telling him if she finds out he is leaving she will leave, if i really believed she would do that i would call her in 5 minutes, we can say what we would do but we really dont know my gut says first thing would be to kick his/her a$$ then take them to the bank experience says cry and justify every action because you love them :(

burpolicious	I would want to know if it was with a woman or a man, so I knew what I was up against. Next, I would want to know how he found the time. Honestly, my husband works so much and is a real homebody. I'm sure he can attract another woman, but I'm not sure how he would schedule it. It wouldn't mean an automatic divorce in my house. Obviously, there is a huge problem, but my first instinct would be to try salvaging my marriage out of it. I'm not fool though, there is a limit to that line of thinking.

physandchemteach	The first thing I would do is to dump him as fast as I can. The last thing I would do is to wave good bye as I leave court with a divorce and all of his assets.

mierdurez	I would just stand there and like not do anything. I would wait for her to see me there watching her what she just did. I would then just be there and see what type of explanation she will try to come upon. Just play it cool no matter how much it hurts. Like if you were expecting it. And like if she is crying I would be " Its OK... dont cry. I didnt do this"(in a type of voice where she would think u are trying to comfort her) I would tell her that I love her. Then I would say bye. Cause the truth is thatit hurts... but she borught it to her self. The last thing I would do is loose my temper and get mad. I would not let her see how much she hurt me.

If I caught him cheating I would ****************************************â€¦ and then do it again cause no one I mean no one deserves to be cheated on. But then on the other hand you can look at the whole situation and say they did not deserve you and and the can rot in hell :)

rc	Really the best way to handle it is to not say anything andget away from the situation. Talk to them a few days later when you know exactly how you want to handle things. Rash decisions never work out.

Kristin C	i would immediately leave the house and then i would cry for a couple of days and then i would get counseling with my DH, to repair the damage that has been done.in the event that he wanted a divorce i would let him have it.on the other hand one never knows how they would handle a situation like that until they are in it.

NoName	I would beat myself up for being with the idiot. That last thing I would do is let him think everything is okay and use him for all he is worth then just leave after I got what I wanted. He would have had it coming. Right?
