Depends...does he know he's an idiot? LOL I have a brother-in-law, that I know my mother-in-law would not think twice about introducing him as her idiot-in-law...and his family too! lol |

no, but it probably upsets your daughter, you should choose your words carefully. |

Polite? No, it's not. But...he must be a real idiot.
You say you refer to him by that name, do you say it to his face? |
|

only as a hint to better himself, not really cause you don't like like him. is he more successful than you? |

I think it would be polite if it was an accurate description - if he truly is an idiot.
I think it would be best to not refer to him as such in his presence. |

No, its very impolite...and hateful. Your daughter has made her decision and you have NO RIGHT to make her feel guilty about it. You will end up driving a wedge between you and your daughter and you may never get to see your grandchildren. Be an adult, and accept the fact that your daughter is grown and able to make her own decisions......and realize that if it turns out to be a bad one, let HER figure that out....DO NOT influence her by calling her husband an idiot......that's RUDE!!! |

uhm. polite? no. okay? sure...i spose. |

How can you be so insensitive? Didn't he marry your daughter? Don't you care what she wants. She must want him or she wouldm't have married him. Show him some respect and you might be surprised at how smart he gets. |

Well, would you like it if you were him? |

I don't see why not after all I refer to my sister-in-law as my B****-in-law! :) |
|

lilly
|
Well, I think it's not a nice thing to do but it's not uncommon for name calling between the in-laws. I would certainly discourage it. |

It depends on the situation - if he did something really stupid and even he knew it and it was said in a loving way yes it would be OK. |
