The worst that can happen is that he may be embarrassed after you tell him but as spouses, you should be comfortable telling each other everything.
Make sure you let him know that it is totally fine to have bad breath and not know it and that you will support him 100% in removing the problem!

Sweet heart, he's your husband, if you feel his breath stinks say something, if he get upset then you married the wrong man. Did his breath stink when you met him? |

Based on the things that my parents will say to each other, it sounds like you don't have a very open marriage. I would expect this to be a question after the first few dates, but I haven't heard of any married couples afraid of offering overt criticisms on invasive issues to each other, let alone whether or not one has bad breath. I can only assume you haven't been married for long. |

You should be able to tell him this. Make sure you tell him nicely. I'm sure he would rather this come from you than from someone else. If his bad breath is not fixed by brushing his teeth he may want to see treatment from a dentist because it could be something worse causing the bad breath. |

Be nice to him about it, but you better tell him. No one wants to smell bad right? If my breath stank I hope someone would give me a heads up so that I could fix the situation.
Be nice about it though, don't hurt his feelings! |

I have the same problem and I told him about it because I genuinely care. What if he has a bad tooth? He should get his teeth checked out soon.
If it isn't that then it may be sour stomach..give him two rolaids :) |

No, not at all. Actually it would probably be better for him and yourself that you tell him, cause you don't want him to embarrass himself or anything. |

No, it's not wrong. I tell my husband any time his breath or body are not minty fresh. I have to live with him, and I expect him to be relatively clean. |

Nah... In marriage, you should be able to speak openly to each other, ya know? =]
If you don't feel like directly saying it, offer him some gum wherever you go. He might get the message and start treating his teeth in a more hygienic matter.
