To be honest? I would be embarressed too. You are worth more than $50.00. |

try telling him exactly what u want...men cannot read your mind |

He's definately clueless, but here's an idea to help him get the point. Go to your local adult store and buy him an inflatable doll. Blow it up and put the fake ring on it and put it in your bed. Then when he wants to get busy that night, he can have the "fake" wife. |

Neither. I think maybe he just doesn't care............... |

I think he is so clueless!! Some men just don't understand the significance of a wedding ring to a woman.. |

Clueless. Do you have access to his credit card? Go pick yourself out a nice one. |

he don't think it matters to you...
you need to be open and honest with him that u want something real... |

Clueless but I would think there is more to your story.
Such as why did he suddenly decide to buy it. Was there a lot of pressure put on him by you.
What is your financial situation. Was he hoping to wait a few years so he could afford to buy something that was worthy of being on your hand. |

When I got married hubby bought me a $200 ring because that’s all he could afford. On our 10 year anniversary, he bought me a $2,000 ring. Guess which one I wear? Hint—it’s not the more expensive one (which actually upsets him) it’s the cheap one, because, for me, it has more sentimental/emotional value. |

He might just be clueless as to how important a wedding ring is to you, OR he might simply not have the means of making such an expensive purchase at this time--which is why he bought you the $50 one.
If this is the case, you might make him feel worse by refusing to wear it.
You should at least wear it around the house, and if he does ask why you don't wear it when you two go out, simply be honest (and tactful) and say something along the lines of
"It's a nice ring, but I really expected something else..." and see what he says.
Also, keep in mind that although it does hold sentimental, as well as monetary value.....a ring is just a ring, and the marriage is so much more than that. |

Boy, am I naive. I thought the concept of marriage was a solid commitment to eachother, not the price tag on the ring. |

why don't you buy your own? that way he can't ask for it back if you two split up. |

Some guys just don't get it..
But, if I would be you, I would just ask him what is he trying to tell me with that?? Are you guys poor? If he can't afford proper ring, that's fine, but if not... |

does he have any money |

Don't be embarrassed. My ex gave me a set of rings that turned my finger green. I later learned he won them at the state fair. That's ok. He was as worthless as the rings.
Much depends...what is your income like? Can he afford to buy you a ring? Did he feel badly that he wasn't able to buy you a ring when you got married and he's trying to fill that space for the time being with a faux ring?
If he dropped $50 for a fake rock because you have been nagging him for a ring, then you deserve what you got.
There are too many missing details to properly answer this. |

I am so sorry about that.I would be too disapointed. You should never wear it until he gets a hint.
I also think he is trying to test your patience. Maybe someone might have tod him you are out to fleece hima nd now he is trying to find out whether you will bout about this |

He never bought you and Engagement ring, or a wedding band? Tell him the truth. A cheaper alternative to a diamond engagement ring would be to get you favorite colored stone, in you favorite cut. I wish I would have thought about that before I picked out what kind of ring I wanted. It is very unique and stylish, and like I said, cheaper than a diamond, but still a real ring. |

Be glad that you got one. Many women would be glad to just have a husband. |

why did you marry him in the first place, and maybe he can't afford a better one than 50 bucks, If your happy with him than does a ring really matter? If the ring is from the heart than weather it cost a million dollars or 50 cents it shouldn't matter. If your to embarressed to wear it maybe you have a problem |
|

well I think that the problem lies further down than just the wedding ring sweety. While the wedding ring is a symbol of the solidarity of the two of you, it is really nothing more than just a symbol.
what matters is the feelings that you have for each other and the vows that you took.
I just get this feeling from the tone of your question that there may be deeper lying issues.
If you would like to talk to someone about it, you can email and I would be more than happy to listen. |

maybe its the best he can do at this point . support him and see if you don't eventually get an upgrade |

Ouch Sky!
I think he probably is clueless.
I think you need to have a discussion with him concerning this and just be really nice about.
Let him know that you can't wear a 50.00 ring on your finger. There are also several less expensive gold bands in the 200.00 to 300.00 range that arent tacky at all. |
