Should a man be get the death penalty for a savage rape of his 8 year old step daughter?

momrfg2003	The mom of an eight year old daughter in me says YES! The other part of me says what drove this man to this point? I cannot fathom that he is in his right mind and that sadly has to factor into the decision as well. No one here knows what was in his head that day and I do not believe anyone alive wakes up one morning and just decides to do that sort of thing for no reason.

MB	He should be castrated. THEN put to death. Wouldn't have that problem anymore.

Love My Kids	ABSOLUTELY!!!! I think any man who rapes children should be put to death. And any man who rapes adults should be put in prison for the rest of his life. If he likes raping people, let him do it to the other rapists in prison!

abc	I would say no, ....let the other prisoners have a shot at him....life in prison without the possibility of parole......and lots of inmates who have nothing to lose.......people that believe in the death penalty have never been dead....dying is easy......

Needtoknow	Death is too good for him. I'd tell you what I think should be done to him everyday for the rest of his life but I'm too much of a lady, and Y/A won't let me! Since my suggestions can't be done, I guess death is the next best thing.

nonameblonde	YES YES YES YES YES YES YEESSSSS. Edit: I was just reading that too. You know? My first instinct is to say YES. And I did. Now that I'm reading other poster's comments, this is such a sick crime that yeah...IS living a life in prison with no pecker worse? Is him being repeatedly raped daily in prison with no pecker worse? I'm thinking it might just be. Edit: And yes...the concern is there like that one poster wrote in about him getting out and being on a registration list and then he can wind up moving in next door to anyone of us! And yes...we've paid (thru our tax dollars) for him to sit there in prison and work out in the yard and eat his meals, etc. All in all...very good question.

Green Eyes isall I'z got	It's hard to not want revenge. I can see your point... I had a friend that had her daughter murdered and cut up into pieces. Forgiveness is a hard thing to do and she is an opponent of the death penalty and travels to states to try to abolish it... talking about how she forgave this man.

Kailey	YES!!! But, he won't!! Instead he will go to prison for a while, get out and be put on the pedophile registration list. If he moves without reporting it, then no one will ever know and he will be free to do it again! SICK BAST ARD!!! The justice system is SOOO screwed up!! Hopefully, while he is in prison he will be put in the general population and find out what it feels like to be raped. EVERYDAY, slowly and with as much pain as is possible!!

For what, so he can go into PC cause well all the bleeding heart liberals out there will start crying if he doesn't get taken care of so they will move him to PC and he'll get three meals a day plus a place to sleep until he eventually gets out for good behavior cause not for nothing he will that's just how awesome our justice system is. F 'em put him in a cell with no food or water and leave him there till the Good Lord takes care of him

Nick	OMG- I am sorry to hear this. If you are asking what we think, than yes we agree, and I would opt for something more than the death penalty- but in reality I wouldn't hold your breath. Unfortunately I was molested as a child too- I was not the only one and this person did very little time in jail. Once out of jail he got caught stealing- he did more time for being a theif than a rapist. I can only say I will pray for you on this one. Good luck

spookychick2007	I really think that the first time a man or a woman rapes anyone (but especially a child) s/he should get a 10 year minimum prison sentence and be chemically castrated. Forever. I know that chemical castration doesn't work 100% of the time, so second offenses should earn life sentences with absolutely no chance of parole. Just my opinion. Although I don't believe in the death penalty for a number of reasons, if I were this child's mother I would want him dead. And speaking only for myself, I sincerely hope that his fellow inmates do the same thing to him on a regular basis.
