What do you do if you can't stand to have your husband touch you anymore?

For the last 5 or 6 months, I can't tolerate him touching me in anyway and will do just about anything to avoid it. It's hurting his feelings, but I really can't stand it! Sometimes I do try to tolerate it, but there are times when I just can't. What do I do?

You have not given any reasons for your aversion. I would suggest you reconcile with the situation if there is not much against him.

It would be very surprising if there isn't a very good reason why you can't stand for him to be touching you, other than just what very little you have shared. But, assuming that there isn't more to this story, you either need to get counseling, and get a grip (no pun intended) on your problem, or you're heading for a divorce, or at the very least, a husband who is more and more tempted to seek physical comfort outside of your marriage.

Life is to short to live a life like that, you simply find someone that you enjoy them touching you.

Well, get a good lawyer.. cuz your man will find a lover if you aren't it.

well that's a red flag on yourself. Why ask yourself why you don't like him touching you then fix it. don't leave him because of it. WORK ON IT fix it and make it better. i get in a touch me not mood sometimes. it's hard to pin point out why but most of the time it is from stress.

My first reaction would be to CRY. Then when you stop that, find out why! Until you know why you can't fix it.

That is the ultimate sign to get out. That is how I got near the end of my marriage too. Even if he hugged me, I would be stiff as a bored, and it almost sickened me. It isn't fair to stay with someone once you get that feeling. A relationship should be full of affection and love and no-one deserves to feel unloved and unwanted. Believe me this feeling does not easily change once it happens. Like you said it's been 6 months, so it's time to face the facts and do what you have to do for both of your sakes.

say it all...
Get counseling to figure out why you feel that way.

You may have a hormone imbalance. I'm very serious. This happened to me and come to find out it was my hormones all out of whack. I've had several friends who had this happen to them, especially after having a baby or just getting older.

Is there someone else by chance? I ask this b/c usually at that point, the person is already looking over the fence. If not, then figure out what is bothering you and being to work on it or seek counseling for yourself(maybe there is something hidden from your past that has nothing to do with him, but it's directed at him b/c there is something he does that reminds you of that experience, I don't know.)

Hon.... is that you?

It depends on if you love him or not still. If you still love him you need to figure out why you are so upset by it. If you don't love him anymore its time to tell him you need a divorce.

The better question to ask, is why you dont want him to touch you anymore? Is it something you are going through, did you cheat? Did he cheat? How was the intimacy before? Did you just have a baby? I mean a lot of things could be going on. But fix it, if you love him then try and make it work, go see a therapist. Best of Luck.

If you still love him go to a therapist and see if that will help the problem. If you don't still love him, then gently ask for a divorce.

You need to figure out what you're feeling resentful toward him about, and figure out together how to resolve it. What happened 5 or 6 months ago that you haven't forgiven him for?

Sounds like it's time for a divorce.

...umm leave
