What is the best way to leave my husband?

What is the best way to leave my husband?

My husband and I have been married for almost two years, and I am completely miserable with him. He has refused conseling and is unwilling to make a change for the better. I need a good job and a new car before I can leave him. The divorce should be uncontested, so all I need to do is get the papers. What would be my best way going about this?

ummm...Hun....you married him for some reason...find that reason again and stick with him...marriage is no joke...women these days think it means nothing....if you are not strong enough to hold this marriage together....DON"T EVER GET MARRIED AGAIN...DON"T DATE DON"T EVEN LOOK AT ANOTHER GUY...marrage is not a throw away item...your word is supposed to be GOOD...when you made your vows you made a promise...to your husband...your family...and MAYBE GOD...ummm don't break that promise...work at it...or just accept your bad judgement....time to step up and make a effort instead of running away..

Well it depends on if he is abusive or not, the saying is treat people the way you want to be treated but when it comes to breaking it off whit us men you have to be a little more creative. If he is not abusive and he's knows that things are not to well just sit down and tell him that you don't want to hold him back anymore from the joy that he could be having. now if he is the but hole that likes to hit find a family member thats not afraid of and go and get you things and leave don't wast time trying to get things straight becouse it could come to late.Theres no telling what a bruse heart will make someone do.

First you should talk to your family and ask for their support. You will probably need a place to stay and maybe some money to help pay for lawyer. You should also look to get a job ASAP and become independent since you will certainly need that quality once you split with your husband.
Best of luck.

I agree, find a job and start saving money, look around for a place to live, etc. Depending on how you think he will react, you might need to wait a while before telling him your plan. There are probably victims shelters in your community where you could stay if an emergency arose or find a close friend/family member you could stay with. Also depending on his reaction, you may be able to get by with doing the paperwork on your own; its only uncontested if you can both agree on absolutely everything and keep in mind that an agreement today might change tomorrow. If it is uncontested, you can probably find a lawyer to do the paperwork for a couple hundred dollars. I would not reccommend online services as my husband did that and the courts refused to accept it. Do your homework, read up on the divorce laws in your state, many have a mandatory waiting period of several months after the filing of the papers. Good luck.
