What is wrong with people today?

wishiwereatthebeach	I wish the kids of today could experience the kind of childhood I had. Dad worked, Mom stayed home and kept a home. Home cooked meals every day, it was a simple life and made wonderful memories. I was brought up with morals also. Wow, have things changed for the worse!!!

dolphin2253	I have a 9 year old son. I had him and wasn't married nor did I get married to his father. I did get pregnant by accident. The father and I were just good friends who had a little too much to drink and too much fun one night. Just because you get pregnant does not mean that you have to get married. I am still friends with my sons father and we still get along great but I couldn't imagine myself being married to this man. Anyone who gets married just because they got pregnant isn't very smart.

n2cstic	I'm with you on this. I feel like i've seen the many facets of life online, and i don't like what i've seen thus far and probably never.

Christy	Getting married because you are having a child is the WORST reason to get married. If you are not 100% sure that you want to spend the rest of your life with someone, you should not marry them - child or no child. When people want to get divorced and they stay together "for the kids", they don't realize that by staying together and fighting and not getting along is actually harming their children emotionally because of all of the hostility in the household. Same thing when to people get married because they have a child. They think it is "good for the child" but if they don't truly want to be together, it will only wind up hurting the child when they either wind up resenting each other, or getting divorced. When you say you just don't get it, you're completely right - You don't get it! You don't have to be married to be a good parent. My parents have been divorced my entire life and they were both great parents and it's better for them to be apart and get along than be together and argue all the time. Being pregnant is the absolute worst reason to get married - it's foolish and ignorant unless you are sure you want to share your life with that person. savagescorpio is completely correct - getting married DOES NOT make you a good parent. Don't judge situations that you couldn't possibly understand.

Dancer3d	Usually one of the parties wants to get married, but it takes two. Often times, it's the woman. We often think that having the baby will make him come around. it doesn't. He usually ends up resenting the woman and can't wait to get away from him conniving but. Then we are stuck with babies and no man. What seem like a good idea at the time, turn into a nightmare of unwed mothers.

davidjudyrices	I don't think it matters anymore. You can get married, have a child and 1 month later get a divorce. Kids do not keep people together, thats something no body gets. The people matter not their life style.

Maestro	I totally agree with you and these children grow up not learning the values of family and the commitment of marriage. I remember a time when divorce was unheard of and the kid in school whose parents were divorced was an outlier. Now if your parents are still together, you're the outlier...it's amazing in a sad way...it's the broken homes that are the reason for many relationship and life problems.

savagescorpio	Who are you to judge how other people live? I feel sorry for kids raised by someone like you. Marriage does not a good parent make, ya dig? There are married couples who fight all the time and are terrible parents and there are also unmarried parents who make their child their first priority. Do you think unplanned pregnancies should be aborted unless the people involved get married?

gaurdianangelic	i so agree i guess. to tell you the truth its becuase of alot of trends and lack of home training. men arent doing what men suppose to do and women are not doing what women are suppose to do i mean the roles are all mixed in together.
