What is your opinion of men who hit their wives or girlfriends?

Little Guy	Coward, weak, insecure, the list goes on. The only reason my ex stoped was because his friends theathened him. See, that's a coward. I couldn't make him stop. I was young, I tried and he step on my face.

lillady	i know im gonna get a lot of thumbs down for this but some women deserve it. Reasoning..... in my situation usually im the first to hit my husband and he just reacts back. but if the man has anger issue and is always put his hands on women then there scum. My husband has never intentionally hurt me. It was just a reaction to the actions I took first.

On a less emotional side, men who hit may have psychological issues that cloud they're judgment when angry. They should seek help. And if a therapist can't help a good *** whippin' always does!!!!!!!

55Spud	My opinion is that they are the lowest of the low. There's nothing manly about hitting a woman. Having said that, I do believe that there are women who think they won't get hit and then just push their luck to the point that their guy snaps. I don't like guys that hit or women that ask for it.

melouofs	Weak men with inferiority complex who feel they have lost control of their lives and feel the need to lash out at someone. They don't have the balls or brains to stand up and solve their real problems, so they take out their frustrations on their SO's. A pathetic example of a human being.

Joe	It depends. Scenario 1: the couple start arguing and it escalates and gets out of control and both the man and woman lose control and they come to blows. An intelligent couple will recognise what went wrong; in the future they will recognise the signs that an argument is starting to get out of control and one of them will back down and it won't happen again. Scenario 2: husband has a few beers and the hitting is merely an extension of the general relationship the couple have. In the first case the couple have had a major wake-up call and should take note and try to make sure it never happens again. In the second case the abused party should get out. If hitting happens more than very, very, very rarely and without provocation then there's something very wrong with the relationship.
