yes well summer hols is upon us now and tomorrow my own son, just six, goes with dad for three weeks, the longest he will have been away from me since birth, as ordered by the courts given they dont care dad was and is terminally abusive with a severe personality disorder which my son is now also subjected to - they just care about dad's rights. end of. the saying 'the law is an a**' is very, very true.
dont know who you are, dont know if your ex is like mine (doubt it), but end of day, you just have to accept that dad is dad, and your son has a right to see him and stay with him.
what you should NOT accept is no phone calls if the stay is a week or more - if this is the case you may ring police who will do a 'well check' on your son if you are worried, or apply to the courts via an emergency application to get regular court ordered phone calls with your son while he's with dad.
if however your ex allows your son to speak to you when he's got him, im afraid all you can do is what im gonna do. try to cope, pray they are ok, and hope time flies. |

That is a very normal situation, the same as a situation where your x has to let your son stay with you. You are bot his parents and unless one of you is a paedo or an abuser, there is no issue. Children stay with one or both of their parents in normal human situations. So do not solve a solution. |

Well if your no longer together he has to be with one or the other of you !!!
But it does,nt stop you seeing him
Whatever happened between you two is not his fault
And you should act like adults and both be there for him
A lot of kids grow up with parents who separate these days
So make it as good as you can for him !!! |
