Why can't stars stay married?

Mom_of_7	Ummmm. egos.

Ms. Dorsey	Because they get married for the wrong reasons and they date for only a short time. Half of them dont know self let alone a stranger. They are in a trial phase.

Lotus	Too much temptation. I mean, it is bad enough for us regular folks, can you imagine having very attractive people (groupies) throwing themselves at you constantly?

Bill C	they aren't truly in love,they all want children so they can say they have some out of wed-lock.

Peace	Probably because they are married to their jobs! Their life centres around their fame and success. Their family always comes in as second to the job. They spend so much time away from home. That's my opinion anyway!

Stranger in a Strangeland	Because they only care about themselves.

Lotus-flower	because they often forget that they are living a real life...and keep up acting... and also some do it for publicity

faces1978	They don't know what real lovers do. They just play one on tv.

clcalifornia	big egos. Also they have to be so self obsorbed to keep themself looking so pretty. They also have long times away from each other which sets them up for trouble. Also...if you have a perfect husband and you see a more perfect one......move on Sick They put themself first in everything in order to become a star. They can't deal if anyone else's star shines brighter than theirs. Also, it's gotta be hard to be viewed in the magazines. must be hard.

greenbaypackers1920	becasue they both work everyday and it not a normal couple going home after work at 5 pm and then see eachother... they work 12 to 15 hrs a day and finish one movies like 8 months longer and they don't have a normal life. Thanks god i don't want to be movie star i know that it will not last long.

game buddee	They don't stay married on purpose. Things slow down for them., they need a little extra cash or publicity so they make a change in their life to get the attention back on them.

minny	I think because they are confused, they do not know what they want rather they want what the public want.

Dave. F	stars can't stay married mostly due to the fact they are "married" to their career and not to their spouse. The divorce rate in stardom is 75 percent.

beth h	That is the papparazzi's fault, I say leave them alone. I know that I would not want to be attacked every minute of the day with a camera in my face or my kids faces. Let them be, they want ot have privacy too.

Samba Queen	Because the media is constantly speaking evil into their lives and their marriages. Not only that, but these people get married on a whim. They don't take anything seriously. They go into marriage with the idea that if it doesn't work out they can just get a divorce. The phrase "long-term committment" means absolutely nothing to them -it's not in their vocabulary.

independentthinker49	I think especially with actors and actresses it would be very hard to act out love scenes with another. Iif you are anyway attracted to the other the temptation would have to be almost uncontrollable. Think about it, they are on the set away from their spouses often kissing and caressing the other actress/actor during their takes and it just leads to off camera action.

Alan J	Because they're nuts to start with, then they're in the public eye every time they do anything. I would not want to live in the fishbowl they live in.

Goodspeed	Because they are actors/actresses...rub elbows with the rich and famous, are introduced to lifestyles an average married couple could not even imagine..I have alot of high opinions of my favorite stars both men and women, I admire the characters they play and the talent they present must define something about them, but reality is, I have no clue who they really are off screen...can you imagine how hard it would be to really become personal with a star, especially a success full star...their such good actors that they probably don't even know who they really are from time to time, in and out of character...it would take a extremely committed couple to accept, understand and be willing to deal with all the challenges being rich and famous brings with it....statistics reveal...not many can stay married because those challenges become to great...its easier to find another person who portrays a more perfect character of whom you think is Mr. Right.

Tanyawi	Because people won't leave them alone. However, do you think that it just looks like they don't stay together more because of the stories we read. Look around you, how many people do you know still on their first marriage? I just like to hold "stars" to a higher standard along with Dr. Nurses, Govt, etc.. Because they are in the public eye ALL the time, they SHOULD be a good example for kids/teens . To bad they don't, After all WE pay their wages.

mann54	Stars twinkle, and keep changing their positions. It is not in the nature of things to stay permanently at the same place with the same person. Besides, variety is the spice of life which stars need more than any one of us, ordinary mortals on this earth.

Simply Lovely	They are constantly under the public eye. Rumors start. It's hard to stay married with all of those pressures. Away from each other when workig for long periods of time.
