Why do men lie?

Marijuana	well, if they start lieing about petty things, they'll get use to it n' started lieing about big issues....give them warning about lieing......sometimes, they just can't help it,lol.....they've no other ways to get out of the situation because they don't want their girls to get hurt....hmm.....

God	Men lie about everything. An no they can't be trusted. I'm a man and I hardly trust myself. Especially when around women. Can't think, can't eat, can't sleep.... you know...the works. The only thing i think a woman can trust in a man is that he'll do her good in bed.

cheetah7	First of all, not all men or women lie. There are honest people out there. There is "lying by exclusion" and then there's "total black lying". The first one, I'm sure everyone has done because in some cases, there are things better left unsaid for sake of peace but this doesn't make it right either because lying is lying, no matter how u cut it. The second type of lying should definitely be a no-no, especially if it's about an important matter or big issue and in a respectful loving relationship, both partners should always be open and honest with each other. Of course u got those "pathological liars" and it goes for some men as well as women. I guess it depends on the type of person they are. Obviously, if one is a chronic or pathological liar, they can't be trusted.

That actor who passed away last week, Glenn Ford, was in the Europe Theatre during W.W. 11. He defied orders to help feed five or six thousand people freed from concentration camps. That's my definition of a hero, not a liar. In today's rapid paced world of gadgets and gimmicks, nothing can be trusted. Take a look at all the cars being built today and ask yourself, can they be trusted? To last? Last longer than the expiration of the lease agreement? Can they compare to their counterparts built 40 or 50 years ago? So, where's the lie? The truth is more people get killed on our roads today than in all wars, combined. I'm afraid to say (these are my ex-wife's words), we ALL are living a lie.

chick29	I think people in general lie not just men and not all people lie. But if they due they lie to try and make a situation better but it usually ends up making it worse. As far as can they be trusted it would depend on what they lied about.
