Why won't people take us seriously?

spriege	first of all if you love him, you wouldnt care what other people think of your love. if both of you feel the same then go ahead and get married, but do think about the fact that you are going to be with this person for the rest of your life, also 8 months is a short period but love has to limit. so you do what your heart feels. :-)

T-Bone	You don't say, but I'm guessing it's because you are both very young and/or it's your first love. People always tell the very young that.

Sherry	Well from the way you are expressing yourself I am going to assume your young as in under 21. Why? well us old people say that partly because we have been there done that. I remember those very same feelings you speak of at no more than 15 yrs old. I was very much in love, and yes it is real love. If nothing else it is very real to you. The best thing to do is just smile, and wait them out. if it is meant to last it will. If not, you have a wonderful first love. There are many different types and levels of love. You are experiencing only one of them. As you grow older your views of it change a bit, experience does that. Enjoy it now, They dont have to understand it. You just love and go day by day.
