gay marriage, right or wrong?

anynewideas	It is right. Being gay is not a choice as some people would like to claim. If people have a problem with gay people, that's fine -- everyone has the right to their own opinion -- nobody is telling anyone that they need to associate with gay people. As far as marriage goes, it's only fair that gay people who plan on living together in a monogamous relationship should get the same benefits that any married couple gets. They should be able to file their taxes jointly, be able to visit one another in hospitals during family only visiting hours and be able to put each other down as "spouse" on their employer provided medical/dental insurance as well as any other application that asks for one's spouse's name.

aquarius lady	It is absolutely wrong for couple of reasons; 1) Human instinct can't deal with this. 2) You can get serious diseases from such a relation. 3) They will never get their own children. 4) if they adopt a child he or she will be confused with the way he or she communicate with his/her parent. I hope you got it ;)

Ronnie	My religion says gay marriage is wrong, and I agree. However, I think people are born the way they are and can't help it - who would choose to live like that voluntarily - such a hard life! So I am in favor of civil unions or some type of legal protection. Not in favor of adoption - too hard on the kids, at least now.

Chris	Few things: -common sense that its wrong -Bible says so -If it was natural, 2 men could have a baby -Gays say they can't help it & they choose that. The fact that many can't choose between gay or straight & some become bi PROVES it's not a natural choice. -An alcoholic can stop drinking, just like many gays have stopped. If its BIOLOGICAL...how is it possible to stop? Gee, let me know when u can turn your black hair blonde or your blue eyes brown.

Dolphin lover	I believe that no one or god should dictate whom one wants to be with. "Gay" marriages should be just as valid and legal as a "straight" marriage in the eyes of the law and churches. It's not hurting anyone else, it's two people making the ultimate commitment.

k8thesnake	i believe that if two people want to get together, get married, and have babies (whether it is naturally or through adoption) well then good luck to them. Why does it matter if it is not you that is doing it? Aren't we all entitled to our own opinions? yes you say... but if one man says that another man is hot...yadda yadda..why is that so wrong? let that person have their own opinion, just like you have yours

Peggy C	I am a christian, and I am sick of hearing Christians Judge Gay's AS far as myself, I dont care what you do at home but do not push you opinion on me. I as a christian will not judge... It is not my place to say it is wright or wrong......

Deconstitutionalization	Right, in a sense. I believe in gay joinings but not marriage. Everyone is supposed to be treated equally.

Elise	I believe that everyone should have rights. Marriage is a totally different thing though, it should be between a man and a woman, because it was traditionally so. I think that civil unions complete with ceremonies are completely appropriate though.

ravensgirl	it's right. they love people just like you and i do. so who are we to say they can't get married? love know's no bounds. why should we deny two people of getting married when they are in love? that would be like me saying "you can't marry someone because you both have brown eyes" you can't help it and you certainly shouldn't be punished for it.
