California	No, it's not wrong. They're both adults, and they are both making conscious decisions. But no matter how old the dude is, he's still immature and only looking to get punani!!!

I think so, in a moral sense, b/c the 18-year old will be hitting the prime years in her life, at least for another fifteen years, while the 40 year old man will be starting (or already be) on the downside of his physical well-being, I don't care how good of a shape he's in. Love is really blind in this case.

lexi8998	Yes, it is wrong. It is borderline pedophilia. No forty year old in their right mind would marry someone that young. If they truly cared for the person they would consider that the younger one has not had enough life experience to be in that type of situation. The older one will always be the one with the power instead of things being equal. Also, that hot forty year old won't be looking so good at seventy when the girl is forty eight. I know it seems like love can conquer all in the beginning, but believe me, when you are looking at someone who has one foot in the grave and doesn't want to go out and do things and you are just getting on a roll...it is a crappy situation. It is really wrong of the older person to exploit someone who is just graduating high school. Not cool.

Trying to be positive :)	Its not wrong I guess since its legal, but a lot of issues may come up. The 18 year old is still a kid and on their own for the first time, while the 40 year old has already had this whole life, with tons of experiances, and more maturity. The 40 year old probably wants to just settle down, but the person whose 18 wouldn't want to because they have their whole college experiance ahead, and possible career.

kelssy	Yea I think its wrong because if the 18 year old girl get pregnant and the kid becomes 60 years old the dad will be 100 and the possibility is that the dad will pass away and the mom will only be 78 years old.

whitetiger731421	Morally I dont think a 40 year old should be marrying an 18 year old. Besides a father/daughter relationship, I really dont see you both having much in common at all. Maturity level is completely different and I really dont think it will work out at all. The 18 year old has barely begun to experience life outside of school etc. The 40 year old may be controlling feeling they are the elder and the 18 year old doesnt know any better.

Capt83	You are correct its legal but not sure how he could do that. I am in my 40s and could not imagine being with someone that is younger then my kids. Thats me and really think they will have nothing in common its probably just a midlife crisis thing for the 40 year old and once through that it will not last.

Last But Not Least	WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. How could an 18 year old and a 40 year old EVER truly have enough in common to even be truly in love? They are (or at least SHOULD be) in completely different stages of their lives. The chances of that relationship lasting past the honeymoon stage are slim to none! Normally, people who can't find someone their own age are socially awkward for one reason or another...so that should tell you something.
