Did she get drunk before she got pregnant? Perhaps she has post natal depression and needs medical and social worker help. Ask her how she feels and don't be judgmental but just listen to her and try to understand why she feels that way.
If she is so intelligent perhaps you could approach her when she is sober and ask her what she thinks will happen to her son while she is drunk? Then ask her what help she wants.
Don't leave her husband out of it, he needs help too by the sound of it. |

you can't change what someone choose to do all we can do is to try to find the root cause of a problem and to find a better way if someone is to they have to want we hate to see someone we love destroy themselves i hard to stand by and not say nothing AAA does not always work i hope that she can over come this and live life but i think that she has to make the first move |

AN intervention is needed here. your daughter needs professional help before she ruins everything. Get her help while your grandchild is too young to really know what is going on. God Bless and Good luck. |

have a family intervention with a counselor who does this kind of thing. and yes your right if she doesn't stop she will loose her husband and child. call a counseling facility for drugs and alcohol and ask them if any of them do interventions for alcohol use. explain to them whats going on and see if that opens your daughters eyes. i pray it does but it very well may not unless she changes jobs and gets away from the alcohol. best of luck to you and your family. :) |

first of all you need to get the child out of that enviornment he does not need to be around that and as for your daughter you need to get her some rehab. maybe AA |

Only she can help her self. See if you can talk to her and make her realize what shes jeopardizing. She has to make the change for her self. I think she wont realiz it until she loses it all. |

There is NOTHING you can do. She is 21, a legal adult, and obvioulsy doesn't WANT to quit drinking. Until SHE recongizes that she has a problem and SHE wants to change there is nothing anyone can do. |

you can't force her to AA or anything, because first she needs to recognize her problem and want the help- make sure you make it clear to her taht she might lose her child... you might even want the baby to be taken away from her for a longer time to get to realize what's at stake... only when she see her problem and seeks help herself can she be cured. |

Threaten her that she is an unfit mother, and then file papers to have custody of the child. |

well i'm going through a problem with drinking right now and the best thing to do for her is let her know how u feel. have an intervention where everyone says how they feel and get her to go in to theropy, there has 2 be a reason for this insane drinking problem...with me its what sat....well i was drinking thursday and got drunk out of my mind, and the friday i got drunk yet again out of my mind because my dad never pays attenison 2 me and he always puts hi younger kids before me and never talks 2 me and i never get to see him and ofcourse when i do his gf always takes up his time so that he never has time for me |

Not here 2 make friends

does her husband have a problem with this? if not then why are u worred about it?
she makes good money and is married, why would she lose her child?
so what she gets drunk friday and saturday. this is legal. as long as the child is left with a responsible adult, why cant she have some fun? she works hard she is very young and a mother. she is deservesto have a lil fun on the weekend. cut the cord. she has her own family now.
if her husband has a problem he can address it with his wife. |

Tell her she needs to stop and get in rehab before it is too late and if she acts absurd when she gets drunk videotape her and when she is sober she her the tape. You also need to talk to her she won't start drinking for no reason...SMILE-and don't give up on your daughter. |

she needs help from alcoholics anonymous .. she will end the relationship that way that's a sure thing... but i think there maybe no stopping her until she realizes the damage she has done .. i don't think she will listen to you but try to get her husband on board and both of you tell her what mistake she is doing.and what the out come will be.. good luck |

Tell her to get her Sh!t together.
Ask her if she likes the bottle better than her child.
She will end up messing up her job too. |

sorry your time to help was the first 18 years of her life,,, only thing you can do now is be there when she does loose the kid and you be the one who takes custody of the child,,, then when or if she grows up she has the chance of getting her kid back |

If there is one lesson I have learned in life it is that you cannot control someone else's life. She will hit rock bottom before she pulls herself back together. She seems unhappy with her life and is drinking her way out of it. You can do an intervention but they are really only for the people allowed to talk not the person who is being talked at. If it is meant to happen it will happen. Just be there for her. |

confront her about it and tell her that if she was to keep on doing this that she could loose her baby and her husband!! |

It's sad to say. But unless she want's help, there is very little anybody can do except help all the people she is affecting. |

Not much you can do for her but tell her that she
is destroying her life and then step back and let it happen... |
