3 years, No ring why not?
Do you want to get Married to Him and Does he want to get Married to you if so what is the hold up. Three year is longer than some marriages last so just do you I guess but a Man will do everything right when he is ready including the ring. |

Three years and you are worried about rushing things. Let me be honest with you, he's not marrying you because he has everything without the ring. Let's break it down, he has you, a child and all the benefits of marriage with the legal commitment. Why in the world would he want to get married when he has everything right now. Get ring, married, then baby that's the way it is suppose to go. So now all you can do is talk to him about marrying and hope that one day he will.....and just maybe he will 20 yrs from and 4 babies later. If he's not ready to buy the cow, stop giving him the milk for free. |

You put a child in the picture before marriage ! Why would he marry you now?You have accepted this kind a relationship so your chances are slim he will marry you.If you had any respect for yourself he would have already!sorry......... |

yeah its fine i would wait to at least six years but you can bring it up just dont push the subject. its ok to talk about it. Just ask him if he ever wants to get married just say i dont want to rush things i am just curious if you see marriage in the furture. I mean you do have the right to know and if he says no then just go from there.
GOOD LUCK |

Hmmm maybe this guy doesn't want to get married at all and if you do then there is a problem. I think you should talk to him about it. I personally refuse to have any children with a guy until I'm married to him just so that I can avoid things that like. I think it's unfair when guys act like that so if you want to get married then you should really talk to him about your feelings. It couldn't hurt afterall. |

why buy the milk when u get the cow for free sounds familiar........mrn usually do not do things on their own without a litle motivations and possible threats...........ha ha ha. Tell him if he does not want to marry you then he needs to let u move on so u can find someone who wants the same things that you do........see how fast he gets u a ring. Hint....if he loves u, he will. If he doesn't or he gets mad then he never had any intention on marryin u in the first place. |

I think it's fine not to have a ring yet, I am in the same boat. I have been with my guy for over 2.5 years, we have a son, and neither of us is in a rush to walk down the aisle. Someday we would like to but for now we are happy to call each other husband and wife if only in a common-law way. Don't stress too much over it, a ring doesn't make a relationship, love does. Best wishes to you. |

Have you guys ever discussed marriage? If you haven't I think you should immediately, make sure you guys are on the same page or you need to come to a compromise. A marriage is in the heart anyway, marriage doesn't necessarily mean commitment, and not married doesn't mean not committed. Just ask him about it, he may just think you don't want it. |

Ifyou believe in your relationship, you do not have to think twice about tying the knot |

Ayyy...yayyy yayyy rarely does a guy wait more than a couple of years after the baby to pull out the ring..i would say..it is not going to happen...if there is love there...just hang on and keep each other happy |

Maybe he hasn't been here to learn how to make one out of a 2 bit silver piece.

you need to discuss this with your significant other. I would have walked by now. |

But you're right-3 years and a baby-you 2 are already married just not officially. You need to talk to him and be honest and open and tell him whatever you're feeling. No notes, no fighting-just open talking and if you don't like his answers or if he keeps putting a date off, it'd probably be best to leave the relationship behind. Although I'd hate that for you and the baby. |

you dont have to get married to prove you love each other you have each other and a child so what if you have no ring ???? |
|

The reason you don't have a ring is because you have been giving it up to him for 3 years without it. Apparently you don't respect yourself enough to demand his committment to you. |

maybe your partner isn't ready for the wedding bells yet.... nevertheless, he loves you and is happy with you... you said it yourself 3YRS & A BABY.... just go with the flow.... i know couples with 2kids for 4yrs and still no ring either.... |

It's the old adage, if you get the milk for free, why buy the cow? Tell him to make you a proper wife like any other good man would do. |

Rush things? You are at the opposite end of rushing things. Usually if you hope to get married you don't go ahead and live with the person and have a child. At this point your significant other probably thinks you don't need or want to get married. And s/he probably thinks, "Why bother?" |

You have to request the ring and marriage. If this set up is OK for you, then why bother with a ring? |

they are to slow and might break up if nothing happens |

Then why did you rush the child bit?
Bit late to start to THINK, isn't it? |
