Canada & World War II?

I'm trying to find a battle in WWII which was a big moment for Canada for a school project. So far I've checked out Juno Beach and the Invasion of Italy mostly but its all joint operations of several allied countries. If anyone can tell me of a battle where Canada really shined can you let me know? Thanks!

Google up 'The Dieppe Raid' I think it was in 1942. It was a sort of practice for the D day landings. It was mostly a Canadian show..

Looks like Canada played a big part in the Liberation of the Netherlands as well as the Battle of Hong Kong. Check out the site for Canada at War: http://wwii.ca/
