Did you see/hear the news today? More American troops killed in Iraq. When will this stop?

Snowy	1) Soldiers are people with families and friends. They will not be forgotten. 2) These soldiers are not conscripts. They volunteered to be soldiers knowing that part of the day job was carrying a gun, and potentially shooting it at someone who is intent on killing you. Our forces are not shot. They are like every other army in every other war. They are moaning, and pissed off and want to come home, but most of them will be moaning and pissed off at home and want to get back over there to finish the job. Thats what soldiers do!

KRIS	I wish it would end now...I bet if there was a forced draft and Bush's daughters could stay sober long enough to go fight in Iraq, Bush would put an end to it quickly.

cantcu	Not only American. One was from the US and one from another country/ There were 5 killed yesterday, 4 Americans and an Italian. There were 4 killed day before yesterday. One of them is from here and is expected in Manchester this afternoon!

It's Slime Time	this truly is sad for anyone involved. it's like 100 US troops a day. i did not like the statement Bush made the other day, "The war began on my watch. Now It will end on your watch". the war should have never began in the first place. i saw a news bit that said the money American troops get from the war, wheather they are killed, or injured during the war, doesn't even cover medical, or funeral expences at all. the rest of the expences comes out of your own pocket, some insurance companies won't even pay for it. i say, 'pull our people out now'. i'm ready and willing to take their spot, just so they other men and woman over seas can come home.

netjr	What is your alternative? We could have done nothing and waited for al queda and Saddam to forge a nice alliance that would kills thousands more of American's here? You can't prove for one second those wonderful men and women over there haven't saved us from a fate worse then death. I can't prove their efforts would have, but one thing for certain....no Saddam alliance with al queda is ever possible now. Thanks to our soldiers in Iraq.

Annie Mae	It hurts so much to hear of our men and women are dying. It's time to bring our people home. Hopefully w/in the next year they will be home. I did uphold the war at first, but we don't have bin laden. It's time.

dude	it will go on as long as the people stay silent and do nothing. why are people doing nothing about a government so corrupt?

PuterPrsn	So you forget our troops after four days? How sad. This will go on until Iraq has enough police force to cover their own country. It's getting better all the time as they get trained. I'm sad that you thinks our troops are "shot". I can assure you that my nephew and niece and their friends do not think so, and they just got back last month. I'm glad your crystal ball is working so wonderfully. If it's only for the next two years, then we'll be waaaay ahead of the plans in Korea, where we've been since WWII helping them keep the peace.

jas2world	I don't know when it will stop, but I also saw in the news that innocent Iraqi children, women, and men are also killed almost daily in Iraq. American troops, when they are killed, at least knew it might happen and signed up for it (and are paid for it). The real casualties are the innocents. Let's stop ALL the bloodshed.

cosaxteacher	It will stop when Iraq can manage their own security, or when the terrorists give up. The soldiers are not forgotten, I can promise you that. Will a random person on the street remember all their names? No, but you can bet they are aware and sad that people have to die to give desiring people freedom.

If we were under communist rule wouldn't you hope there was a country out there as nice as us to help free us? People like you who only give a **** about themselves really piss me off.
