I am about to graduate college in may 2009 with a degree in Business and want to join the Air Force.?

I have tried so many times to contact the recruiter near me but she does not seem to understand that I have to work full time as well as go to school full time. I just want to know if going into the air force with a degree in business even matters when trying to be an officer (i have heard it does not), but i do not mind enlisting. I heard you become a E-3 after basic with a degree(does the degree matter?). If anyone can give me any help i would really appreciate it. Also can i become an officer after i enlist if i try and get a degree that the air force might want more?

rememberthecole	You must go to a really shitty business college if you are willing to sell your services for 25% of what you can get. And that is what you would get as an E3 as compared to an O1. Do you realize that the USAF is fat with people and is having no trouble at all getting new people? That is probably why the Recruiter is not busting his butt talking to you. He probably already made his quota and is just taking life easy. If you want maximum benefit from your education you need to talk to the Army. They are having a hard time getting people and are offering bonuses.

E, Dat Bad-azz Bama Boy!	You should actually GO to the recruiter's office; and state that you are interested in the OCS program. Do not take the line of crap, when they tell you, "...you can submit the paperwork for OCS when you get to your unit..." Have them include the OCS training within your enlistment contract. [If it's not written on the paper, then it's not going to happen.] Also, your degree in business doesn't really matter, but it should help you if you get branched into the Finance Corps. Good luck.

Bravo Golf	yes a degree definently matters. you need to tell her if she wants you on her quota she needs to find time to meet with you. any degree is good if you want to be an officer, but i honestly cant say where a business degree would be useful in the airforce.
