The recruiters are acutally REALY niice.
But, one thing you have to remember is that they are a salesperson and they sometimes make promises they cant keeep.
not all of them are like that though.
Goood luck.! :) |

first off a recruter is nothing more than a salesman. he wants you for the corp. it's not the rectuter you have to worry about it's not even the di's. it's yourself. can you make it and will you let your buddies down. i say go for it. it will help you out so much in life |

The recruiter is the easy part the next 4 years is the hard part. Save your fears for the Marine standing beside you (if you join)!! |

Lol, they will be very nice to you when you go in there. They will talk to you like a regular person and no they don't have you do pull ups or anything like that. They will talk to you about your health, HS diploma, what you're interested in doing in the Marine Corps. Then if you meet the criteria with not having surgeries, no asthma, never done drugs, have a high school and be within their weight and height criteria, they will give you a placement test called the AS VAB test that tests you in your general knowledge, definitely need to do well in Algebra and math because math makes up most of your score. Honestly it's nothing to be nervous about. They don't treat you bad or mean until you go in. |

why? talk to the ARMY, instead! |

They will push you and prod you into signing up.
They are just like used car salesmen.
They will make you feel low and useless if you do not immediately sign up and may question your patriotism.
Do take a parent or a friend with you.
If you want to sign up, go in there knowing what type of jobs they offer and what type of job you want. Be sure to have at least three choices that you would want to pursue.
They are a little hardcore but do not sweat it. |

They're not going to do that. The thing is, the Army is a area of respect. If you respect your recruiter, commander, ect. over time they'll develop a form of respect for you! Recruiters are probably nice because they want you to join the Marines! |

They won't yell at you or make you do push ups in the office. But they will try and get you to sign up right there. A friend of mine and I were going to try and sign up when we were younger but backed out of it at the last minute because we chickened out.
When you go into their office, they are all nice to you because they want you to sign up and want you to join. At least this was how the Army was when we looked into joining. I'm not sure about the Marines, they might be different. Good luck. |

No, they wont be scary at first. They will be fine with you and really nice. However when you do your training is when things will get hard and you will have to do alot of exercise. Just be yourselve when you go in there, take it as a normal interview and things will worrk out fine =) |

If your scared you'll never get in.As to doing the drill you learn. Most recruiters will be ever so nice to you at first. But when you enlist-watch out.You cant get out then. |

if you're afraid of the recruiter don't bother going back. he's the most pleasent NCO you're going to find. he's just a car-salesman pitching a product. if you ever get to those yellow footprints, you'll understand. |

Recruiters are not going to do anything to scare you away because their whole reason of existance is to get people to join. They are going to lie to you to get you to join.(THAT IS A FACT. NO BS) I would recommend you go with someone who knows a lot about the Marines. Go with someone who could be a balance.
i SUGGEST THE NAVY LOL |

If you are too scared to even talk to the recruiter then you are not Marine material. |

i thought when you went to the recruiting office you just signed up and that was it. and if your scared of getting yelled at I'd rethink this whole marines idea |

If you are scared to meet the recruiter, you should be a whole lot more scared to get your head blown a thousand miles from home. |
