....like the Russians did during WW2, they had penal regiments that were in charge of mine clearance (without a detector) and storming machine gun nests without being given a rifle. We would give them a meddle if they served - sure we could.....
We could base it on the French Foreign Legion style, and bury them in the desert up to their necks when they were naughty LOL. Would you volunteer to be their Commander or Sgt Major though? - GULP!

Maybe it is time the UK grew some balls and did some action instead of inaction like we've seen for the last 20 years or more. The UK forces are volunteers and the very best in the world, nobody would want to undermine that. But these knife weilding thugs need some discipline and it's about time that they were forced to put something back into society. So, yes, I agree in principle with the idea. |

that's a horrid image, the army is a job, people join it independently by choice. why would you like to undermine the army by making it a punishment? its like saying to all those men out there fighting for their country that their no better than a criminal. surly sending waves of hoodies brandishing knives is not the best way to fight a war. besides numbers isn't the problem, we don't have the guns, the helicopters, the equipment so the ways things look they might be shaking their knives at the enemy. |
