The .303 Mk 7 British military bullet has an aluminium tip under the FMJ to cause it to tumble , see details..?

The .303 Mk 7 British military bullet has an aluminium tip under the FMJ to cause it to tumble when it strikes a target and so do more damage. This is mentioned by Frank C Barnes in his book Cartridges of the World 7th edition and I have verified it by cutting open bullets. The light weight tip moves the centre of gravity of the bullet further towards the base and so makes the bullet unstable and leads to it tumbling on striking the target. All bullets with pointed noses have a centre of gravity that is closer to the base and so all are unstable to different degrees and so are more likely to tumble than a round nose bullet. So my question is were any other FMJ bullets made with a light weight nose in order to further destabilise them...?

I don't know if specific rounds were made with lighter weight noses, but some calibers are made to tumble. The 5.45x39(the AK-74) was known as the poison dart by the Taliban when they were fighting the Russians. Upon impact the shape of the projectile would cause the it to tumble like CRAZY. It would hit someone in the shoulder and leave out the base of the back. The 5.56x45 also tumbles a little but not to the extremities of that of the 5.45. Most don't use a specific material to destabilize them rather they are designed to.
