What is the current wait time to enlist in the Australian Army?

if i was to start the process in the next few days of joining the australian army as a full-time rifleman, theoretically what period of time would i have to wait until the day of enlistment. Would it be less than 12 months?, and if you could answer in detail and with a time period it would be much appreciated. Also could you answer the same question for a job not as full up, such as military policing. Cheers

Deleted	Being a rifleman in the Australian Army is going to be a long process. They are currently not recruiting riflemen at the moment so it makes it even harder to start your recruitment precess. What i would do is call up Defence Force Recruiting on 13 19 01 and at least start the process and book yourself into a You session. There you will be able to get a lot of details on the job and waiting times. To break it to you bluntly you will be waiting well over 12 months maybe even closer to 24 months as its one of the job everybody wants. I'm heading off to the Navy in 2 weeks and i started my process in March 2010 as an Avionics Technician not a very high demand job but took almost 12 months for enlistment. Most jobs that are not under being a "Priority Job" will take between 9-12 months. If you go for a priority job you could be enlisting within 3 months. Hope that helps a bit and all the best! P.S.
