Mike W	Giving up our nuclear arsenal would be suicide. We have the weapons as a deterrent to attack, hoping that we'll never need to use them. If we were to unilaterally give them up, what would stop another nuclear power from attacking us, knowing that there would be no retaliation.

tercelclub	We will never give them up; as long as countries like Russia, China, India, Pakistan and all those countries that are not our allies and have them. We have used them only twice over 60 years ago and twe stock them as a deterrant against nuclear blackmail from countries like Iran. When everyone else gets rid of them, then we will.
